DARING TO DREAM AGAIN
What's your alfresco adventure?

sailing by Logan Zoelle

It’s been a challenging week here in my post overseas.  I’m homesick for my family and the sights, sounds, and old-fashioned Southern hospitality. I pour a glass of the local vino, step out on the tiny balcony overlooking the cobblestones below, and open Alfresco Living.  From the first page, I immediately felt like I was, well, home.

A Legal Eagle

Flying by Logan Zoelle

Admittedly, I’ve always been “germophobic.” It’s my first flight since COVID. I’m covered head to toe with a hoodie, gloves, glasses and, mask. I’d been saving my newly arrived issue of Alfresco Living to distract me during the three hours airborne. Wheels down, I close the book. This is what I wrote to myself on the last page: “I’m going to start living right now, in the midst of the messiness, I’m going to live and celebrate every moment.”  Thank you Alfresco!

A Traveler

Sunset. Tennie’s on, thick cable knit sweater layered over a navy and white stripe turtleneck and, I’m skipping down the harbor like a schoolgirl. In less than 24 hours after reading Alfresco Living cover-to-cover, I’m taking my first sailing lesson, something I have wanted to do for most of my adult life. Thank you Alfresco for stirring my long-buried gumption.

Shop Owner/Sailor

I’m circling the block for the seventh time. It’s lovely, at least in my mind, now, it looks like nothing more than a ramshackle outhouse on a forgotten city block, but I see it full of customers carrying out Mama’s apple pie. Thank you Alfresco for daring me to dream again!

Baker

Meeting my realtor for coffee and a pastry to celebrate closing on my very first home purchase, she slid over Alfresco Living with a knowing smile. The décor is forever dreamy, and the pictures of Lisa Luby Ryan’s tabletop are so luscious, I want to frame them. Even just looking at the cover makes me happy!  But most importantly, what I’ve learned from these women, is that talent is not meant to be hidden, it’s meant to shine!
